1.) T-mobile G1’s Android OS is awesome. It’s so awesome in fact, that I might write in “Android” this tuesday. In related news: I can ssh into my company’s server from my phone and break it any time I want; what has science done?

2.) I slept at my office last night. Because I’m retarded and left my keys somewhere. Keys have been procured and I am fine. I’m glad there is a nice couch here.

3.) I have art to post… I will post it…

4.) Temporarily, I’m going to have to approve your comments on my posts. This should only happen to you once. Once I get more time, I’ll play around with all the spam filtering plugin’s wordpress has.

Things that are not Prop 8

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Dear California:

Voting on prop 8 is very important to a lot of you. The whole thing was originally a legal issue, that’s been turned into an opinion issue. Okay: go vote. As long as we’re bringing opinions into things: marriage is a man-made (read: imperfect) government and religious institution which has always always discriminated, objectified, or otherwise streamlined groups of people; be it men, women, children, non-believers, homosexuals, werewolves, vampires and the like. It has never been equal or fair, nor the final solution of expressing your love for another person. That having been said, if you vote “yes” on prop 8 you’re pretty much a total douche, a social troll, or giving the finger to the legal system of whom you expect to protect you. Seriously, wtf dude, go get a puppy.

So leave your asshole hat at home. Vote “no” on 8. But don’t expect that it’s going to fix much of the mess.

And on the subject of human rights…

Things that are not Prop 8: Prop 5

Nonviolent drug offenses. Sentencing, parole and rehabilitation. Initiative statute.

T-squares!

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

I’m sorry if you’ve been trying to reach me. I’ve been busy. I have a couple commissions I haven’t finished and I’m picking up the slack for some brat who abandoned us out of boredom at my RL job (inoright?).

Derp.

This entry is about t-squares, and I’m very particular about them. My favorite t-square broke about a year or so ago, and it’s been a little hard to replace. I found it again today though!

C-Thru JR-12 T-square (sometimes called Junior T-square)

I like this kind of t-square because it’s not too big for comics (12”), it’s extremely portable (I rarely work at a desk), and it’s transparent (almost essential). I wont use anything else, to be honest. When I found it again today, I had to buy 2.

If you need this all this awesome in your life, you can buy it here. Occasionally, you’ll see it at a Michael’s or a Jo Ann’s craft store. But you’re more likely to find t-square variety at an independant art store or here on the interents.

Moar art, less walls of text! Draw what you want to say! You know you want to!

(The hypocrite writing this will resolve to do this too… ._____. )

Kelly’s Friday Challenge!

To artists: In your next blog entry you are limited to 5 sentences of text. If you can’t finish your thoughts in 5 sentences you must draw the rest. Winner gets… I dunno I can’t really give you anything good ._.

DS game list!

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

I’ve been accumulating DS games this past year. Some I’ve beat, some I’ve lost track of. Here’s my collection; it’s not big but can you see a trend in the kind of games I like?

  • Final Fantasy IV DS (finished!)
  • Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (just started)
  • Hoshigami Remix (restarted a few times… this is a difficult game.)
  • Luminous Arc (I’m near the end but keep putting it off)
  • Super Mario Bros DS (play when I get tired of strategy)
  • Harvest Moon DS Cute (just started)
  • Rhapsody (Just started… hey, wasn’t this a tactical rpg when it was on PS1?)
  • Princess Debut (oh man… it’s hard to admit I have this. It’s really fun though. Beat it once, and playing a second time)

Also game recommendations appreciated :>
